Will ZiPCAD run on my model handheld?

ZiPCAD will run on any Palm-compatible device running OS  

version 3.1 or higher, which includes more than 98% of the 

Palm OS devices in distribution. If you have an older model 

and would like to determine your Palm OS version, 

tap , , "info..."  and [version].  Your Palm OS version

will be listed at the top.

I Hotsync to a Mac or use GoodLink -- is there a version for me?

There is a  Mac/GoodLink version of ZiPCAD.  This conduitless

version imports/exports DXF files directly to the memory expansion card 

where files can be uploaded and  downloaded to the desktop computer 

using an inexpensive SD card reader, the Palm Desktop Software 

(package with the device), or inexpensive third party software, such 

as Missing Sync.

How can I view the DXF file output?

All major CAD systems, such as AutoCAD, can read and write the 

DXF file format.  If you do not have access to a CAD program, there are 

low-cost and shareware systems available.

How much memory does in use in my Palm OS Handheld?

The ZiPCAD.prc applications vary in size.  The exact size is listed in

the product comparison chart.  Bundled with ZiPCAD is a math library,

MathLib.prc, which occupies 50K and is included figures in the chart.  

Drawings typically range in size from 5K to 150K.

How large of a DXF file can ZiPCAD import?

The maximum size of the DXF file only limited by the available RAM on

the device.

How long does the demo trial period last?

Each ZiPCAD product has a 30-day trial period.  The trial version of ZiPCAD 

is the same as the full release version.  When the trial period ends, drawing 

saving and loading is shut off.  You must register the software to receive a

key that unlocks the software.

How do I register?

You must purchase ZiPCAD to receive a registration key.  You can purchase 

from our store or one of our registered resellers.
